Popular Nigerian skit maker and comedian, Lawal Michael Nasiru Bolaji, popularly known as Nasboi has taken swipes at his colleagues in the entertainment industry for throwing their political loyalty and support to the 2023 Presidential candidate of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This comes as lots of indicting videos have continued to surface across social media platforms since Saturday February 25, 2023, being the day the Presidential and National Assembly elections were held across the country.
In some of the videos, some of the voters were being threatened by unidentified persons, to either vote for the APC or forget about voting. In some other videos, some persons were seen tampering with the election results at some polling units/collation centers, and a host of other electoral malpractices.
According to the comedian, he asked Eniola Badmus, Toyin Abraham and Seyi Law if they did witness the rigging of the election in question, including videos of such that has since gone viral on different online platforms.
Then he went further to add, “Are you proud? Lmao! I regret ever looking up to you guys…I am not sure I did.”
Unfortunately, this has been a regular occurrence since the inception of activities leading up to the 2023 general elections. But the fact remains that, the beauty of democracy is the fact that people are at freedom to go with any candidate of their choice, and our own cannot be different.
Yes, we may have our different reservations over the choices we make in this election season, but that doesn’t in anyway mean that the choices made by others are stupid and invalid. No, it is their choice and they have a right to it.
