A 24 year old Nigerian female student identified as Providence Eziedo has reportedly bagged first class degree in soil science from the University of Calabar (UNICAL), Cross River State. According to news making rounds on different media platforms, including a popular Cross River State based media outfit, Calabar Blog, she became the first student to achieve that feat since the inception of the department in 1986/1987.
The young lady who’s equally fondly called “Baby Zingery” has some other line of career she has been pursuing, which include “product designing and Web Flow Developing”. Going through her social media platforms, you will be convinced that she’s such a hardworking young lady who is so passionate about her business interest, as such, it is not a surprise that she achieved that academic greatness.
Meanwhile, she has joined other young Nigerians making the country proud in different fields of endeavor, both home and abroad.
Many Nigerians who are full of joy and happiness over her recently achieved feat have been celebrating her across various social media platforms, with most of them asking other young Nigerians to emulate her achievement, as such is what is required of Nigerians, especially at a time like this that a lot of our youths have battered the image of the country, both home and abroad.
On the other hand, many people are of the opinion that she should be honoured by the government, most especially as a way of encouraging other Nigerians to take their academic pursuit serious, especially at a time that many youths are evidently losing interest in education.
