A 16 year-old girl identified as Success Kingsley has reportedly gone missing after she left her home in Rivers State for Ibadan, Oyo State, reportedly along with a certain unnamed/unknown lady. A Twitter user identified as Climax Chuks shared the story via his platform, alleging that the said 16 year old left for Ibadan few days ago with a certain lady whose true identity is yet to be established, for equally an unnamed networking business.
He further stated that she has not been taking her calls, and that the last time she managed to take their calls, her background was so noisy. Meanwhile, owing to that, they are suspecting that Success Kingsley must have fallen into the hands of traffickers.
“The dad could hear so many young voices in the background, which we are suspecting it’s a human trafficking,” part of his tweet reads.
He further revealed that the parents of the girl had equally gone to the office of the said lady who took her to Ibadan, the one located in Rivers State, and that there’s no reasonable trace that the said place is in use as their office, which further gives credence to their fears that their daughter might have fallen into the hands of traffickers.
He went on to call on the general public and relevant government agencies, especially the security agency to assist the family in finding their missing daughter, and also tracking down the alleged trafficking gang.
The post has expected generated lots of mixed reactions from people, with most of them wondering why such a young girl could be desperate to make money at her age, and more so, a networking business that will take her to another state in the company of a stranger. On the other hand, some of them blamed the parents for giving her such a free hand that she can travel to another state at her age without their consent.
“16 year old girl networking what? So, a mother will allow her 16 year old girl to involve in networking business?
May she come back alive but that’s so unfortunate with her age,” one of the comments reads.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time we have heard of same or similar story, involving young people who are desperate to become rich. Without mincing words, a lot of parents are not really caring about the lifestyles of their children, hence the reason we have continued to witness cases like this. Parents and guardians must step up and be in total control of the lifestyle of their children/wards.
Aside that, these young people must stop being pressured and pushed into desperation by some of the things they come across in life, especially on social media platforms. Yes, many of them are pushed into some of these desperate moves by the flashy lifestyles of most people on social media.
