Billionaire American businessman, Elon Musk has set out new policy for twitter users, which many have described as harsh and unfriendly. Recall that since the took over of the ownership of the micro blogging platform from Jack Dorsey, the social media platform has seen a couple of harsh changes in the hands of Musk.
Well, according to the latest changes announced by the billionaire businessman via his verified twitter account, there are new limitations to the number of posts users will be reading daily, and this will be based on users subscription status on the App.
For new unverified users they will only have access to three hundred (300) posts in a day, those without verification badge on the App will have access to six hundred (600) posts per day, while verified users will have access to six thousand (6,000) posts per day.
He said the essence of the new policy is to checkmate the level of data scraping and system manipulation on the platform.
“To address extreme levels of data scraping and system manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits:
Verified accounts are limited to reading 6000 posts/day, unverified accounts to 600 posts/day, new unverified accounts to 300/day,” he tweeted moments ago.
Recall that some months ago, Musk introduced a compulsory subscription to have the blue tick on the App, and those who previously had the blue tick but failed to pay the new fee had their blue tick removed. The latest development just like the aforementioned has continued to generate mixed reactions from users, with many not happy with the new user policy on the App.
