Popular Nigerian musician, David Adeleke, popularly known on the stage as Davido just got himself yet another expensive car gift, a 2023 MAYBACH VIRGIL ABLOH which is allegedly worth $530,000 (394 million Naira), as widely speculated by many sources. Davido had taken to his insta-stories on Thursday, April 23, 2023 to flaunt his newly bought 2023 Maybach, with the caption, “Dey Play”.
Meanwhile, lots of reactions have since continued to trail the decision of the Nigerian music star to splash such a huge amount of money on a car, and one of them is popular twitter sensation and critic, David Regha. He had equally criticized Davido for consistently splashing heavy amount of cash on cars and jewelries, and equally going ahead to flaunt these stuffs online, which he described as a waste of money, and equally a bad influence on the Nigerian youths.
Further, he stated that this very lifestyle of Davido is one of the reasons we have a high crime rate in the country, especially internet fraud, otherwise known as “Yahoo-Yahoo”, as youths are being misled with such. He further advised the DMW boss to learn how to put his money to good use, rather than indulge into these sort of spendings.
“Davido buying multiple cars plus jewelries is a waste of money, & flaunting ’em online’ is unnecessary,” he wrote.
“Fans will hype, but this is one of the reasons why crime, especially yahoo, is rampant today, cos many youths are being misled. He should put his money to good use. No offense,” he added.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time David Regha has found fault(s) with Davido’s career and lifestyle. Recall that just recently, same David Regha took to his Twitter account to criticize Davido’s “Timeless Music Concert” held on Sunday night, April 23, 2023 at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos State, citing certain reasons as to why the concert doesn’t worth all the hype and accolades it has been receiving.
