Embattled Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah may have not really settled his scores with self acclaimed Prime Minister of Biafra Republic Government in Exile, BRGIE, Simon Ekpa, especially since Gov. Mbah declared a war to end the incessant sit at home often declared by Finland based Simon Ekpa, across South Eastern States. Well, the war of words between the duo was once again rekindled late Saturday night, July 22, 2023.
This comes as Gov. Mbah took to his verified twitter account last night, to announce that he has just acquired yet another academic certificate from Oxford University, United Kingdom. But the Governor seemed to have made a slight error in the tweet, which Simon Ekpa quickly capitalized upon to ridicule the image of the Governor.
“I just bagged a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategy and Innovation at the Saïd Business School of the University of Oxford, Oxford, England,” Governor Peter Mbah tweeted.
Meanwhile, the first tweet which contained the said error, which though has since been deleted, Governor Mbah wrote, “I just bagged a Diploma Degree in Strategy and Innovation at the Saïd Business School of the University of Oxford, Oxford, England.”
On his part, Ekpa hurled all sorts of unprintable names on the Governor, while equally pointing out that Peter Mbah’s name is under Diploma and not under Post Graduate Diploma, and that there’s nothing like “Post Graduate” certificate.
“Peter Mbah just announced he bagged POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA, whereas his name is under DIPLOMA there is nothing like “Post Graduate,” one of his multiple tweets reads in parts.
He further threatened to make Enugu State the capital of sit at home and civil disobedience in the South Eastern part of the country, as Enugu is very important to Biafra.
“We will make Enugu the capital of sit at home and epicentre of civil disobedience. Enugu remain a historic city for Biafra,” Ekpa wrote.
(The now deleted tweet as a result of the aforementioned error)
Meanwhile, recall that the Governor is having a serious legal battle at the Enugu State election petition tribunal, over several issues, including that questioning the authenticity of his National Youth Service Corp, NYSC, certificate, which is alleged to have been forged, of which the Governor has strongly refuted.
On the other hand, few days ago, the DSS had stormed the court to defend the Governor on the certificate forgery issue, stating that the said NYSC certificate is not forged as being speculated, including as testified in court by NYSC itself. DSS claimed that the fault is from NYSC as a result of their poor record keeping, among other factors raised.
Regardless, we say big congrats to Governor Peter Mbah on this new feat.
