An Igbo adage says that, “a man who goes to the bush and fetches firewoods infested with ants should not be surprised when lizards pays him a surprise visit”.
This is seemingly the current situation with popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, especially since he took a second wife, in the person of actress Judy Austin. Since then, it has been from one humiliating and embarrassing drama and episode to another. Meanwhile, we understand and respects the fact that everyone has the right to a lifestyle of their choice as long it doesn’t interferes in the life of others.
But that wouldn’t deter the public from examining how the actor, who’s equally a public figure, has really faired since the beginning of the highly controversial and interesting Judy Austin’s episode. The most annoying thing in all of these is that when you expect that Yul would have learnt his lessons from some of his previous experiences and make amends, he fails to do so, rather, gets involved in more disturbing and embarrassing drama.
If you a regular visitor to Yul Edochie’s social media platforms, especially his verified Facebook page, you would have seen that Yul Edochie and his second wife, Judy, have really come under severe social media bashing and trolling with their recently launched attention seeking and clout chasing video contents. In the videos in question, Yul is trying so hard to deceive the public into believing that his marriage with Judy is facing existential threat and crisis as result of the reoccurring problems in the said marriage.
Yul has shared a couple of videos in the past few days, which is a recording of the crisis allegedly rocking his marriage with Judy, at different moments of each day. Though they have done a commendable job in the acting side of the drama by putting up superb acting skills. But unfortunately for them, it has refused to send the intended message and also failed to achieve its intents and purposes, as most people who have watched these videos knew that it was deceitful, clout chasing and attention seeking.
Meanwhile, the idea has not only failed to achieve it’s target, but has attracted a barrage of trolling and bashing from many people, who think that Yul Edochie is really descending too low with such contents, especially considering the fact that his level in the industry has long ago moved far above such.
Yes, and I think anyone with such thoughts has made no mistake, as this is not what many people envisage will become of Yul Edochie afterwards, especially after he had started so well, and equally set such enviable lofty height in Nollywood.
Don’t forget the fact that Yul Edochie is already is already in the category of A-list actors in the movie industry, both in Nigeria and in Africa, as such, has naturally outgrown certain things in the industry, of which this very issue is one of such things.
But it is often said that love intoxicates like alcohol, love makes one do lots of crazy and stupid stuffs, such they could never have done with clear eyes or on a normal day. Going through the comments from people regards this, sure gives lots of credence to our argument, as this new route of adventure embarked upon by the actor is highly embarrassing and downgrading for his personality.

On the other hand, in as much as the duo may obviously be cashing out from such contents, it is equally important for Yul to put his enviable status, career, achievement and personality into consideration. Because if he continues with this, do not be surprised how he will soon drop in the pecking order in the industry, as such, may soon lose his relevance in the movie market.
And unfortunately, once this happens to any actor, his or her career is as good as being over, and no one is beyond falling into such situation, except you know how you have planned and organized your life and lifestyle so well.
Therefore, it has become long overdue for Yul Edochie to take a break from social media, reorganize himself and restrategize his lifestyle and other things. Afterwards, he bounces back better and as a new brand product. Yes, because his head and mind at the moment is unarguably filled up with different suffocating and confusing thoughts, ideas, plans, intentions, etc. So, he needs this break as soon as possible, only if he will be understanding enough to see through this prism, as to see the inevitable need for that.
