The newly inaugurated government of the new Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti of the Labour Party, LP, is sure moving in what most people say is the “right direction”, especially looking at some of the appointments and directives he has made thus far.
The latest being the appointment of veteran Nigerian singer, music producer and song writer, Martins Okechukwu Justice, popularly known as J Martins, as the Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment to the Government of Abia State. Expectedly, the good news has drawn the attention of many of his colleagues in the industry.
The happy and excited music star took to his social media platform to share the good news, and while equally thanking Governor Alex Otti for finding him worthy of being a part of his new government. He also revealed how he woke up around 3am few days ago, precisely on Wednesday July 12, to unprecedented calls and congratulatory text messages from people, informing him that he has secured a political appointment in Dr. Alex Otti’s recently inaugurated government.
He further urged everyone to join him in thanking and appreciating the Governor for this unexpected gesture from him, and also pleaded for people’s continued support and prayers for him, as he seeks divine wisdom to embark on this new assignment. Without mincing words, he made it clear that without divine wisdom and support, as there’s hardly anyone who will be able to do this sort work alone.
“Abia State is for us and it’s only when we come together that we can build Abia State and make it work,” he added.
Meanwhile, some of his colleagues in the entertainment industry and other well wishers have continued to react to the political appointment bagged by the singer.

According to veteran musician and Record Label executive, Banky Wellington A.K.A Banky W, “congratulations and all the best brother.”

“Congratulations my person, nice one,” Nollywood actress, Eve Esin wrote.
“Congratulations” Peter Okoye (PSquare) commented.
“Martins of life! Congrats,” actor Bryan Okwara.
“Congratulations brother,” Nollywood actor, Diamond Okechi wrote as well, and many others like Rude Boy, Ugoccie, Okey Bakassi, Kate Henshaw, Funny Bone, others have all congratulated J Martins on the appointment.
Recall also, the Governor recently appointed former Arsenal forward and retired Super Eagles captain, Kanu Nwankwo, A.K.A Papilo, the new Chairman of Eyimba football club, Aba Abia State.
