News reaching our desk this Saturday evening indicates that veteran Nollywood actor, Obinna Nwafor, popularly known as Saint Obi is dead. The source equally revealed that the actor has been sick recently and subsequently couldn’t make it out of the sickness which eventually claimed his life.
According to instablog9ja, the death of the actor had since filtered in as far as May 7, 2023, but that his sister whom he recently moved into her house in Jos, Plateau State, decided to keep the news of his brother’s death away from the public space. But how the news eventually made it way into the public space is not clear at the time of publishing this news, because no official statement has been made by the deceased family regards Saint Obi’s death.
Meanwhile, a certain source equally claimed to have visited the residence of the late actor’s sister place in Tudan, Wada in Jos, and also alleged that people who lives around the compound confirmed that somebody died in that company, but unfortunately they couldn’t lay hands on the name or identity of the deceased as the story is still shredded in secrecy.
On the other hand, another person who claimed to live in the same area with the actor’s sister, where the actor equally stayed till his death, have identified the actor and knows about the situation of things confirmed that the actor passed away since on Sunday, while his corpse was deposited in the mortuary at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH.
The late actor is said to have been battling an undisclosed ailment for few months prior to his shocking death, which kept him visiting the hospital in quick succession.
Also, some of Saint Obi’s colleagues in Nollywood and entertainment industry have since been reacting to the shocking news about his death.
“How? Jesus Christ, God forbid bad thing,” an obviously heartbroken veteran Nollywood actress, Uche Ebere reacted.
“Jesus!” actress Destiny Etiko exclaimed in shock.
