Popular and controversial Nollywood actor cum politician, Yul Edochie has finally reacted for the very first time since the unfortunate demise of his 16 year-old first son, Kambilichukwu Yul Edochie, who died on the 30th of March 2023, following a seizure suffered by the deceased while playing football game at his school on that Wednesday, during his school’s sporting activities.
Recall that the actor who has been on the bad books of many people in recent times has kept mute since the death of Kambilichukwu, but has now decided to break the silence, according to his own timing. In a lengthy social media post made by the actor via his verified Facebook page, he recounted the last moments he shared with Kambilichukwu before his unfortunate death later same day.
According to Yul, he recalled how on that faithful day which his son departed the world, he had came into his room while already dressed up for school, informed his dad (Yul) about his school’s inter house sports competition coming up in few days time, precisely on Friday of that week, which he, Yul, promised to be present during his son’s inter house sports competition. Equally, how he had also congratulated Kambilichukwu for winning a gold medal during his school’s swimming competition.
Yul Edochie further revealed some other discussions/chats he had with his late son, including their joke about Kambili’s soaring height, after which he left for school. Unfortunately, that became the last time he would ever set his eyes on his lovely son as he never returned home again, alive.
The actor then went on to make it clear that he cannot question God over the death of Kambilichukwu, asserting that though himself and the entire the family loves Kambili so much, but the fact remains that God loves him the most, hence why God took him from them at such timing.
Recall that Yul had come under heavy social media bashing and attacks following Kambili’s death, which broke hearts of many people. And many continued to attribute Kambili’s death to a lot of factors, including the actor’s decision to marry a second wife, in the person of actress Judy Austin.
